Growing Outside Ourselves

We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God. It is the supreme authority by which we live our lives. Therefore, we believe the Bible teaches the following truths:

About God

God is Holy. He is the Creator of all things. He exists in the form of The Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

God loves his creation more than we can imagine, and He loves us so much that he sent his Son, Jesus, into this sin cursed world to provide the way for our salvation.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:16

About Jesus

Jesus is the Son of God who came into this world through means of the virgin birth. He was both 100% God and 100% man. He lived a perfect and sinless life.

He died as a sacrifice for our sins on Calvary. He was buried and rose again three days later. The Bible calls this the gospel.

About Salvation

Every person is born a sinner in need of a Savior. Whoever believes the gospel and repents of their sin will be saved. Being saved means that God forgives you of your sin, the Holy Spirit lives within you, and when you die, you will go to heaven.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

John 3:17

Do you Know Jesus?

Do you know Jesus as your personal savior? The apostle Paul wrote many foundational scriptures relating to salvation in his letter to the church at Rome. These verses, often referred to as the “Romans Road to Salvation,” provide a brief synopsis of our need for and Gods provision for salvation.

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one –Romans 3:10

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; –Romans 3:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. –Romans 6:23

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. –Romans 5:8

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. –Romans 10:9-13

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: –Romans 5:1

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. –Romans 8:1

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. –Romans 8:38-39

Will you pray to receive Him now?

If you will believe the scripture presented above and pray this simple prayer, Jesus is faithful to forgive you:

“Lord Jesus, I come before You knowing that I am a sinner. I’ve read the scriptures above and I believe that You came to earth to die for my sins and rose again, proving You have the power to overcome death, hell, and the grave. I confess my sins before You, and turn away from those sins. I ask that You forgive me according to Your Word. I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and ask that You become the Lord of my life. Lead me according to Your perfect will. Help me to grow in understanding of Your will for my life and never again be separated from the love of God.”

If you prayed that prayer and believed it in your heart, Jesus is faithful to forgive you and become your Savior.
